    Gift in Wills

SO every patient is in the best hands, will you please consider a gift in your Will?

A gift in your Will can take a variety of forms. This could be a gift of whatever is left of your estate once your family have been provided for (a residuary legacy), or a specific sum of money that you pledge to our Charity (a pecuniary legacy). Alternatively, it could be a specific gift such as property, stocks and shares or other valuables such as a piece of jewellery.

You don’t need to include a large sum – a gift of just 1% of your estate after everyone has been taken care of can do so much. Whatever you give, you’re helping touch the lives of thousands of people every year.

If you have any questions, want to talk about the impact your gift could have, or would like to support Southport and Ormskirk hospitals in a different way, then please do get in touch.

"I have left £5,000 in my Will to Southport and Ormskirk Hospitals Charity for use by the Spinal Unit. My friend, Ronnie, was paralysed in an accident but it’s not stopped him getting on with his life. I want to give a little back to enable others to take part in the rich tapestry of life, no matter what their disability." – Mark Wilson

Our Impact

Thank You So Much!

Through your support we’re able to purchase items of equipment, organise activities that help patients undergoing treatment, and fund places on specialist training courses for our staff teams.

Here’s just a few examples of how your support has made a big difference:

Charity Volunteer Ambassadors

There’s lots of ways you can get involved – whether you can spare the odd hour, or a regular day a week.

Volunteering is a great way to get some different skills, or just to make new friends and try something new.

We always need help with our events, collection tins and fundraising administration – and we’d love to hear from you!

About Us

Southport and Ormskirk Hospitals Charity raises funds for all areas of patient treatment and care.

charity about us mother and baby

This is your hospital charity, at the heart of your community, and every penny you donate stays in the local area...

All our patients benefit from the youngest in our neonatal unit to the many older, frailer people we care for. Whatever you give, you’re helping touch the lives of thousands of people every year.

Thanks to your support, we’re able to purchase items of equipment which go above and beyond what the NHS can normally provide – as well as enhancing staff training and wellbeing.

Donations help us make patients and their families feel that bit better every day with activities such as specialist arts therapies for dementia care, play workers for our children’s ward, facilities for bereavement counselling and services for families with loved ones in our care.
